I’m a photographer, musician and blogger out of Los Angeles, California1. I’m decent when it comes to computers and most things electronic.
Photography
I’ll go almost anywhere my friends will accompany me for photowalking and street photography antics, but it’s usually around Downtown Los Angeles.
I’m also fond of concert photography. My growing portfolio includes several bands: Finch, Rx Bandits, Portugal, The Man, El Ten Eleven, Five Mile Town, and The Breakup.
There’s a few weddings under my belt, along with a few portrait sessions.
Here’s a list of my equipment.
Music
I was forced to play viola in second grade for four years. After a gap, I picked up the electric guitar at 17-years-old, mostly self-taught with guitar tabs from various bands. From 2005-2008, I played with Phantom Scream.
When his guitar was stolen, he switched to bass guitar2. I currently rock out with the band, The Scarlet Paradigm.
Technology
When I finally got a Windows 98-based computer, I was hooked online. After a couple years, and many attempts streamlining a Packard Bell computer, I gave up on it. With the help of Tom’s Hardware Guide, I built my first computer.
With all that self-taught knowledge, I worked at Public Counsel as a computer network assistant for five years.
On the internets, I started out creating a small Windows XP help website by hand3. Then, I ran my own [now defunct] forums with the help from a few friends.
Now, I write at All Narfed Up and post photos here sharing random bits of knowledge.
